When using Firefox, you don't need to open the Rankosaurus application. Simply right-click on the page you want to take a screenshot of, and you should see a 'Rankosaurus' menu. From there, select 'Take Screenshot', and viola, you should be done. You can then select 'My Screenshots' from the same menu to go to your Rankosaurus account.

because i used my yahoo and it wont send anything
(ps i used up alot of my account name ideas on separate yahoo accounts cuz eye m smats)
You can use any valid email address to create an account. Yahoo should work fine. What do you mean by 'it won't send anything'?
like i dont get the conformation email
so i dont get the temp password (or whatever they use to confirm it)
i did and i resent the email like 20 times 10 when i first did it and 10 more like last week
Send an email (from the same email address you used to create the account) to support@rankosaur.us. I'll find out what's going on.
I've downloaded Rankosaurus onto my new computer, but it's not coming up with the 'Software installation' window, it's just asking me if I want to save or open the file.
Are you trying to install the actual screen grabber software, or the Firefox Plugin?

The company I use to host rankosaur.us must have changed something, because the xpi file is indeed no longer being served with the correct mime type (which is what tells the browser what to do with the file). That is why it's asking you if you want to save it. I'm getting them to fix this, but in the mean time, save the .xpi to your desktop, and then drag the file to a new (blank!) Firefox tab window. That should start the install.
When/will this be workable for google chrome? It's a really popular browser.

I'm still seeing less than 5% of DYOG users using Chrome, so it's not high on the priority list. But it is a great browser, so I'm sure that will improve over time.
Rankosaurus doesn't seem to work with windows 7, I get this error.

Good times. I don't have Windows 7 yet so it could be a while until I can look into this. Sorry for the trouble, but I'm actually trying to phase out Rankosaurus a little bit.
