10x10 is the minimum space you can protect, I believe.

Re: Minecraft Server Updates Thread

Which is 100 square blocks. You used to get 100/hr, now you get 350/hr, so you can place quite a few large chests that are protected if you're smart with your claims.

Re: Minecraft Server Updates Thread

If I'm not mistaken, it seems that gamesfreak forgot that you can indeed claim multiple areas, and although you can only claim a minimum of 100 blocks per area, it takes far less blocks then when you were trying to claim the whole area over which your chests are spread.

Re: Minecraft Server Updates Thread

I have removed the NoCheatPlus plugin and have replaced it with AntiCheat. This will address both our logging issue as well as our X-Ray issue. OPs, please refer to /anticheat help to do investigation on suspicious user activity.

As this plugin is being updated on an almost daily basis, I will be restarting the server every morning starting at around 0900 (GMT -5) to make sure we have the most recent version, and will be attempting to check logs for suspicious activity daily as well.

Re: Minecraft Server Updates Thread

On next reboot (tomorrow, I already rebooted today before anyone was on), I will be installing a performance optimization plugin (NoLagg) that may change the way some of your clients behave in terms of chunk loading, but should hopefully provide some stabilization/performance gains for everyone.

As for X-Ray, I did find a plugin that in essence stops it in its tracks (Orebfuscator) so while we do have the reporter through AntiCheat built in, I will also be adding this and fiddling with the distance so you can't find ore unless you can see it (i.e. digging or exploring through a cave).

Re: Minecraft Server Updates Thread

I use Optifine which already modifies how my chunks load. Will this affect your plugin, or are my changes only happening in Singleplayer?

Re: Minecraft Server Updates Thread

It's a server-side plugin, so it should only be happening in SP for you.

@Pirotechnix
I have Orebfsucator already installed on my server and can help with anything you need help with. I'm good with plugins.

Re: Minecraft Server Updates Thread

Given that all the logs I've been reading for the last week or so have not seen any reports on x-ray usage even on accident, I'm not going to inconvenience our current players by using Orebfuscator, as it punishes them by giving them more work to do (having to strike blocks in order to reveal surrounding ore). It remains off the server.

Re: Minecraft Server Updates Thread

Uninstalled AntiCheat, went back with NoCheatPlus. This should hopefully address the bug involving uphill minecarts being misinterpreted as a flying hack, though if it persists I have more power to edit the configuration than I did with AntiCheat (AntiCheat didn't let me edit any of the parameters, while NCP does)

Actually I think it was a day after that I had another No-Cheat mishap with a minecart.

Re: Minecraft Server Updates Thread

Server will be going down for a while this weekend so that I can install and properly configure Bukkit permissions, as well as experiment with the viability of some new gameplay addons I have been researching, among those a Hunger Games mod and an arena mod.

The hunger game mod is extremely fun but can be glitchy. I have done something similar to it.
